Pipe thermofusion
Butt Fusion of Polyethylene Pipe
Butt fusion of polyethylene pipe is a welding process used to join two ends of polyethylene pipes using heat and pressure.
Butt fusion involves heating the surfaces of the two polyethylene pipes to be joined with a welding tool, such as a butt welder or a heating plate. After heating the surfaces, the welding tool is removed, and the pipes are firmly pressed together, creating a homogeneous and continuous weld.
Butt fusion of polyethylene pipe is a reliable and effective method for joining polyethylene pipes in applications such as potable water distribution, gas distribution, irrigation systems, and other industrial applications. Additionally, polyethylene butt welding creates a permanent and robust joint capable of withstanding adverse environmental conditions and fluid pressures.
